Focus Reader app for iPhone and iPad

Focus Reader provides quick access to UNHCR’s planning data entered in Focus Client. It offers simple views reflecting the different components of an operations plan such as narratives, indicators, budgets, office and positions structures of a single operation. Focus Readers main advantage is its simplicity and speed. Users with basic Focus Client knowledge will be able to utilize the tool with minimal guidance. Due to its limited size, Focus Reader functions perfectly in environments with limited internet connectivity.

Focus Reader mobile provides similar functionality to the desktop version and responds to demands to improve the accessibility of Operational data, especially from colleagues in remote field locations where the internet connection is often very slow. In an environment with limited internet capacity, it provides instant access to all data captured in Focus Client with views reflecting the different components of the Operation Plan such as narratives, budgets and Indicators, office set-up and position structure, Mid-Year and Year-end reports.
Fast and User-friendly: Focus Reader mobile uses the same lightweight technology as the desktop version which makes it very quick even in places with limited connectivity. The Plan files are highly optimized for low-bandwidth connections, so it takes very little to load all the information of a plan onto the device. Switching between different aspects of the plan (narratives, budgets, indicators …) is lightning fast.
Off-line possibility: Focus Reader can work in off-line (disconnected) mode, for example in the field, or an airplane. When connected to a network, Focus Reader downloads and saves the plans which can then be accessed even with no Internet connectivity.
Common login: Focus Reader mobile uses LDAP authentication which allows users to have the same password as for Global Focus, Global Focus External, etc…
